The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) has today announced that Dean Long, Head of Public Policy and Strategic Partnerships will depart the federation in early September after 4 ½ years of loyal service.

“Dean has been an unbelievable asset to AFTA, our members and the broader travel and tourism industry and he will be missed” said Jayson Westbury AFTA Chief Executive.

“Dean has been a driving force behind the establishment of the chargeback scheme ACS and represented AFTA and our members on many government and industry committees and working groups, his contribution has been outstanding” said Westbury.

Long will be moving to a new roll in the payments industry and will remain a part of the AFTA alumni for life.
