Luxe Summer Holidays Now On The List Of Bartercard Member Benefits

January 18, 2018 Financial No Comments Email Email

IT’S the holiday season and Bartercard members across Australia are being encouraged to add another benefit to their membership; using trade dollars to pay for luxury Summer holidays.

On the Gold Coast, one Bartercard member recently learnt of the many benefits of belonging to Australia’s largest trading network, paying for her Summer vacation in full using Bartercard trade dollars.

Long-time member Kate Biglands, CEO of Marie’s Pizza has recently returned from a relaxing five-day spiritual retreat in Bali. Her flights, accommodation, food and coaching during the retreat were covered entirely by her accumulated Bartercard trade dollars.

Bartercard – Summer Holidays

Kate said majority of the company’s trade dollars are reinvested back into the business throughout the year, however, if a suiting opportunity arises for something out of the ordinary like a holiday, she certainly considers it.

“Over the years we have purchased many things on Bartercard, and we use it for whatever we can for business purposes, mainly marketing activities, communications and cleaning,” said Kate.

“If a holiday opportunity does come up and it is compatible with what we are after, we go for it.”

Maries Pizza has been a member of the Bartercard network for over 20 years, with the company’s founder Kate’s father, initially joining the Australia-wide network to increase sales for the pizza store.

“Bartercard provides you with a network of people to do business with,” said Kate.

“It is important to offer goods and services that people need at a fair price and most importantly, trade fairly and you have a captive audience to do business with.”

Kate encourages businesses to get in the habit of checking if a business expense can be covered by a Bartercard option in order to increase bottom dollar.

“Develop a good relationship with your trade coordinator and contact them before you allocate a budget to a business expense to see if there is an option to use Bartercard.

“For businesses thinking about joining Bartercard, I would say give it a go and be proactive with how you spend your trade dollars.

“The more you put into Bartercard and the more you use it, the more your business will get out of it.”

Bartercard founder and South Gold Coast franchise principal Andrew Federowsky said Bartercard members are often surprised at the many ways they can use their trade dollars.

“Our members commonly utilise their trade dollars for everyday business expenses such as graphic design, cleaning, bookkeeping services, and even paying rent,” Mr Federowsky said.

“However, there are a multitude of ways Bartercard can help a business keep expenses to a minimum by using trade dollars for other expenses including holidays inclusive of flights, accommodation and activities.

“We are also seeing members secure holidays and gifts on trade dollars to be used for staff incentives and gifts, it’s a great way to not only give back to team members but create a great moral within your company.”
