Madame Tussauds Sydney completes the Queen’s look with the addition of THREE corgis!

August 22, 2019 Attraction No Comments Email Email

August 26th is International Dog Day and for one day only, guests to Madame Tussauds Sydney will have the opportunity to meet and capture the perfect Royal selfie alongside three adorable corgis and the Queen.

Mark Connolly, General Manager at Madame Tussauds Sydney said, “Following the addition of Meghan and Harry’s wax figures to the Royal Experience last month, guests are spending more time than ever interacting with and taking photos alongside the Royals, but we knew that something was missing. We’re finally completing the Queen’s signature look with the addition of three adorable corgis that will be in the attraction to meet and greet guests on the morning of International Dog Day.”

While it’s understood that the Queen no longer has any corgis of her own, she’s been a proud owner of the breed since she was just seven years old. The team at Madame Tussauds thought that International Dog Day would be the perfect day to recognise and honour the relationship between the Queen and her favourite furry friends – known for their affectionate disposition, loyalty and high intelligence.

Two of the corgis making an appearance at Madame Tussauds are amongst dog royalty themselves – with Alfie and Bentley having 11.2k dedicated fans on Instagram @atailoftwocorgis along with the adorable Codger @codger.federer

WHEN:                 Monday 26th August (International Dog Day), 10am – 11am and 12pm – 1pm

WHERE:               Madame Tussauds Sydney, Royal Experience, 1-5 Wheat Road, Darling Harbour Sydney NSW

The new Royal Experience invites guests to become royalty and join in the British Royal Family portrait, alongside Her Majesty the Queen, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and for one day only, three adorable corgis!

To help guests feel confident in the presence of royalty, the Madame Tussauds Sydney ‘Instant Royal Academy’ features interactive screens which coach guests on etiquette, teaching all how to correctly address a Royal, sit gracefully, curtsy like a lady and perfect the Royal wave.
