Leading eco-tourism company Majestic Whale Encounters has announced the release of final places for its Northern Lights Expedition to Norway this November. The fully inclusive adventure gives guests the rare opportunity to experience two of the planet’s most elusive natural wonders – orcas and the northern lights.

Whilst whale swim experiences have increased in popularity in recent years, swimming with orcas is still somewhat of a rarity and only possible during short periods of the year in very limited locations. Unlike most humpback whale encounters which operate in tropical waters around the world, taking to Norway’s icy oceans for an orca experience adds another level of exhilaration to the swim, which is made all the more special by how few orca groups are actually able to be approached.

Setting sail aboard the MS Stonstad, travellers will spend six days sailing through the Norwegian Fjords before taking to the water to freely swim alongside the largest of the dolphin family – orca whales. Onboard the vessel guests can warm up in a hot tub or in the central heating, whilst waiting for a glimpse of the enchanting northern lights before disembarking at the town of Tromsø.

Once on land, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a husky safari and reindeer experience before retreating to the quaint cabins nestled at the base of Tromsø’s breathtaking mountains.
Guaranteeing maximum interaction with minimum impact, Majestic Whale Encounters’ expeditions have become widely popular, and the company has recently expanded their offering to include gorilla encounters as well as whale swims. The business is committed to leaving a minimal footprint on destinations whilst educating guests on the importance of respecting all animals and the environments they inhabit.

Majestic Whale Encounters’ Norway tour package includes six days onboard with all transfers, meals, the orca swim, reindeer encounter, husky safari, northern lights tour and three nights accommodation in Tromso included.
