With an ongoing commitment to protecting the environment, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong proudly partners with EcoMatcher to help green the planet by offering guests the opportunity to plant a tree just by enjoying the Forest-inspired afternoon tea or having a Forest Therapy spa treatment throughout the month of April.

EcoMatcher works with vetted foundations and smallholder farmers from around the world that specialize in tree planting. With a unique QR code for every tree, guests can virtually travel to their tree through satellite maps and learn about its precise location, the tree species, the carbon sequestration of the tree, and the farmer who is taking care of it on their digital device.

In celebration of this new green initiative, Executive Pastry Chef Christophe Sapy has created a Forest-inspired Afternoon Tea. The assortment of delicate desserts include Milk chocolate and salted caramel mousse, Pistachio and strawberry tartlet, Dark chocolate and sesame tree, Biscuit de savoie and blueberry cake, as well as the hotel’s signature 1963 Mandarin cheesecake.

The hotel’s green ambition continues at the award-winning Mandarin Spa with a new Forest Therapy treatment. Featuring Aromatherapy Associates’ Forest Therapy essential oil, the treatment begins with a guided inhalation exercise followed by a tension releasing body massage.

Available from 1 until 31 April 2020 at Clipper Lounge and Café Causette, the Forest-inspired Afternoon Tea is priced at HKD 338* per person from Mondays to Fridays, and HKD 358* per person on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, inclusive of one tree for each paying guest. To elevate the experience, enjoy a glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Champagne or a glass of Ruinart Rosé Champagne for an additional HKD 180* per person. The new 90-minute Forest Therapy treatment is priced at HKD 1,830*, subject to a 10% service charge.
