Mango Tree Restaurants Worldwide, the leading Asian restaurant operator, is transporting its diners’ senses and taste buds to the pure shores of Thailand’s islands, with the launch of its all-new casual restaurant concept, Mango Tree Café.

Imagine escaping to a rustic beachfront café, chilling out on low-slung seats whilst gazing out over the golden sands and turquoise seas, shaded by gently swaying palm trees. Mango Tree Café is designed to reflect the laid-back charm of Thailand’s idyllic islands, with an easy-going vibe and a menu that uses natural and seasonal ingredients to create mouth-watering cuisine and thirst-quenching drinks.

Ideal for every occasion, including light lunches with friends, family meals and informal occasions, Mango Tree Cafés are fun, playful and full of “Insta-worthy” moments. In true Thai style, guests gather round and share a table full of fresh, home-cooked dishes, while exchanging stories and smiles.

Under the “Eat Local, Live Local, Be Local” concept, the group’s Thai chefs use market-style produce from local farmers, fishermen and independent suppliers to embrace the essence of Thailand. From delectable dips such as Thai mackerel and shrimp paste and Chiang Mai sausage with northern pepper dip, to exquisite appetisers like sundried pork with Sriracha sauce and slow-roasted pork bellyplus sensational salads including som tum nhung pla salmon (papaya salad with crispy salmon skin) and the signature Crazy Rich Thai Som Tum Tray, every meal at Mango Tree Café is great for social dining.

The Thai sunshine is showcased in a selection of stunning soups and curries, including traditional tom yum and wild mud crab stir-fried egg curry, and tom khlong hua pla (spicy and sour clear soup with fried salmon head and mussels), and noodle lovers can indulge in an array of options, with or without broth and topped with a choice of meats and all the classic condiments. Mango Tree Café’s version of pad Thai showcases huge Ayutthaya river prawns, and a series of vegan options and sides also embrace native specialties, such as Phuket lump crab, southern Thai squid ink, organic okra, and rice from the COCA Boutique Organic Farm. Delicious desserts include classic water chestnut rubies and sesame banana fritters, along with mun ping (cassava in coconut syrup) and khao niew thu-rian (durian sticky rice).

Nothing tastes more like a Thai beach holiday than a glass of freshly-squeezed tropical fruit juice, and Mango Tree Café uses a hydraulic cold press to extract the maximum amount of liquid and nutrients from each perfectly ripe fruit or vegetable. A wide range of amazing blends and stunning smoothies are available, such as Clean Tiki (nam dok mai mango, Sriracha pineapple and fresh coconut milk), Power Up (banana, yoghurt and Royal Project honey) and Fresh Tropics (mixed berries, yoghurt and watermelon). Alternatively, diners can enjoy exotic and innovative cocktails, premium wines, bubbles, beers and spirits.

To further enhance its connection with Thailand, Mango Tree Café is dedicated to the promotion of ethical eating and personal wellbeing. Chefs are empowered to head out and discover new ingredients and get inspiration for ideas, and all team members are encouraged to lead healthy lifestyles.

“Thai cuisine is loved all over the world for its vibrant flavours, bright colours and heady aromas. For many diners, just one taste or scent can transport their senses back to Thailand’s blissful beaches. With its boho-chic design and authentic dishes, Mango Tree Café will evoke magical memories of fantastic family vacations and fun-filled friends’ holidays. Our focus on wellbeing and sustainability also reflects our deep commitment to responsible business, which I know will be appreciated by our socially and environmentally conscious diners. We look forward to bringing the spirit of the ‘Land of Smiles’ to destinations all across the world,” said Trevor MacKenzie, Global Managing Director, Mango Tree Restaurants Worldwide.

This reinvented brand has already made its debut, following the launch of Mango Tree Café Thailand on 1st October 2019, located on the 7th floor of CentralWorld, the popular mall in downtown Bangkok. The brand’s first international branch, Mango Tree Café Manila, is scheduled to open its doors in the Philippine capital in early November.

Looking ahead, Mango Tree Café will play a significant role in the company’s global expansion strategy, as it works towards achieving a worldwide collection of more than 100 outlets by 2025.
