During this challenging period, our frontline and medical workers have been in the frontline sacrificing their physical and mental health in the fight against the global pandemic. In honour of their courage and dedication to halt the disease while working under enormous stress, Marriott International in Asia Pacific has launched the Healthcare Hero Rate which offers a special rate to book hotel rooms in more than 100 properties across Asia Pacific for healthcare professionals. Starting today until 28 February, 2021, healthcare professionals can enjoy a special discount (rate dependent on property) at participating Marriott International hotels.

In Thailand, 40 hotels are offering a discount, including: Aloft Bangkok Sukhumvit 11; Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok; Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok; Sukhumvit 15; JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok; JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort and Spa; JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa; Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok; The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok; The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket; and 1Vana Belle, a Luxury Collection Resort, Koh Samui to name a few.

Whether it’s a mid-week break between hectic shifts or a well-earned rest in the upcoming months, Marriott is ready to welcome and care for our hardworking healthcare professionals while they take time out in Asia Pacific. They can confirm the rate and reserve by booking directly through the property of their choice. Guests will need to show proof of employment or medical registration upon check in.

In case you are interested in covering this, we’ve collated a few photos of some of the properties, recent community activities by Marriott associates and bright cheery smiles from the recent Light for Hope campaign.

Beyond the Healthcare Hero Rate, Marriott International introduced a Community Caregiver Program in April, offering special discount rates at 80 properties in APAC that are located near hospitals and government buildings to support frontline and medical workers with the option to have a place to stay that is in close proximity to their workplace as they aid in COVID-19 response efforts. Marriot International has also established various programs to aid in the urgent fight against the pandemic, including Marriott Bonvoy’s Giving Platform – where Marriott Bonvoy members will be able to donate their points to relief organizations including the American Red Cross, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, UNICEF and World Central Kitchen. You can also learn about the recent Light for Hope campaign here – Marriott offered a ray of hope to its local communities by lighting up smiley faces at 270 hotels across Asia Pacific to put a smile on yours.
