Marriott International has celebrated Global Meetings Industry Day (#GMID19) with a Thought Leaders Forum, bringing together events experts and key clients to discuss the meetings industry, current opportunities and best practices.  

Held at the recently renovated Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park, the lunchtime event saw the panel discuss recent news and trends impacting the conference, meetings and incentives business in Australia and New Zealand, as well as the challenges, successes and opportunities of running innovative business incentives and events and building loyalty.

Marriott International’s newly relaunched travel program, Marriott Bonvoy, was a focus, with the panel discussing its Events Program and benefits for clients. Key speakers included Leon Burman, TRIBE Travel & Event Management, David Williams from HOT Events, Stephen Turner from Medical Meetings and Face To Face Event Management, Michelle Sargent from CWT Meetings & Events, and Matt Griffiths from 212F.
