The Arab Air Carriers’ Organization (AACO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with MedAire for aviation security and assistance services.  The initiative, led by AACO Security Information Task Force, aims at assisting airlines in receiving timely, accurate and actionable information to enhance their threat and risk assessments; as well as assisting them in security assessments of crew hotels and ground transport at outstations.

MedAire was selected as the provider of choice after a comprehensive review of aviation security information providers.

“The task force selected MedAire for their proven expertise, mature information vetting processes, and the diversity of their services covering both aviation and corporate security arms of airlines’ operations,” said Abdul Wahab Teffaha, Secretary General of Arab Air Carriers’ Organization. “Their security information and 24/7 assistance services will be of great value to our member airlines.”

Participating AACO member airlines will receive airspace and airport assessments, 24/7 access to travel safety and security advice, security and operational assistance, and a host of other services for a holistic approach to aviation security.

“AACO’s decision to incorporate MedAire’s aviation security services in their portfolio of initiatives further demonstrates their commitment to safety, security, best practices, and value to its members,” said John Cauthen, Aviation Security Director at MedAire. “We look forward to supporting AACO and its member airlines with addressing and mitigating operational risks.”

The Arab Air Carriers’ Organisation’s (AACO) members include some of the world’s consistently top ranked global and regional carriers.  Approximately 230 million passengers flew with AACO member airlines in 2018. AACO members operated in 2018 around 4,079 daily flights, serving 459 destinations in 128 countries.
