Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited (Nasdaq: MLCO) is committed to ensuring employees work in a safe and healthy environment. Established in 2008, Melco’s Occupational Safety and Health (“OSH”) Policy evidences the company’s pledge to compliance with legal requirements, prevention of injuries and illnesses, and continual improvement in OSH. Yesterday, in cooperation with the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) Melco launched its first on-site Hotel and Catering Safety Card Training Program, becoming the first integrated resorts operator in Macau to initiate this training for colleagues on-premise at the Company’s Studio City.

The full day program, attended by 53 Melco employees from various departments covered OSH topics relevant to the hotel and catering industry such as workplace accident prevention, manual handling, kitchen safety, electricity, fire and heat prevention and emergency response. The training was conducted by Melco colleagues qualified with the Occupational Safety and Health Officer Certificate with guidance from DSAL officers, and enrollees who successfully passed the assessment were issued with Safety Cards on-site.

In cooperation with DSAL, 53 enrollees from various departments at Melco attended the first on-site Hotel and Catering Industry Safety Card Course offered by any gaming operator in Macau at Studio City to learn about industry-related occupational safety and health.

Enrollees who successfully passed the same-day assessment were awarded with Hotel and Catering Industry Safety Cards from the DSAL on-site.
