Earlier this year, Melco Resorts & Entertainment announced a further donation of 500,000 surgical masks to support the government’s fight against Coronavirus. 200,000 such masks have since been donated directly to 85 social services facilities managed by Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) to benefit local community groups such as the elderly, and people with rehabilitation and special needs.
A mask donation ceremony was held today at Morpheus, City of Dreams as teams of Melco colleagues were also being deployed en masse to support the community as part of the Company’s ‘Simple Acts of Kindness’ philosophy. Melco Chief Advisor Dr. Kent Wong greeted Social Welfare Bureau Acting Director Mr. Hon Wai and Social Welfare Bureau Department Head of Research and Planning Ms. Dorothy Tang, as well as representatives from 27 beneficiary NGOs under IAS, including:
