Melco Resorts & Entertainment recently inaugurated the ‘Knowing You, Knowing Us’ campaign with the aim to serve as a communications platform between Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Melco; to help SMEs get to know Melco as a company, its management team and employees, as well as the Company’s operational requirements and standards, and for Melco to get to know Macau’s local suppliers, their businesses, services and offerings, and serve as a catalyst for the development of a sustainable Macau.

As part of the ongoing campaign, Melco hosted an exclusive Open House tour of Studio City for eighteen local SME representatives from thirteen companies, including members of the Industrial Association of Macao covering a diverse range of business sectors such as Garments, Food & Beverage, Construction Materials, Trading, and Logistics. Melco executives including Mr. Donald Tateishi, Senior Vice President, Finance; and Ms. Augusta Vargas-Prada, Vice President, Supply Chain, welcomed the group to the property. Participants were guided through the integrated resort’s client-facing operations, including attractions and F&B outlets, and employee-only ‘Heart-of-House’ areas including the employee dining restaurant and Wardrobe Department; enabling SMEs to experience Studio City from both the guest and the vendor’s perspective. The Melco Supply Chain team introduced procurement procedures and standards to attendees, followed by a business networking session and the opportunity for register to become an SME supplier to Melco.

Attendees expressed that the Open House tour had been beneficial in helping them understand Melco’s corporate structure and operations, and a constructive platform through which possible opportunities and challenges could be identified to assist business development and planning. Participants also expressed interest in joining forthcoming events under the ‘Knowing You, Knowing Us’ campaign.
