As part of Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s Splendors of Chinalearning program, the company organized a visit to the ‘Mao Zedong Emerged in China’ exhibition held at the Handover Gifts Museum of Macao for close to 50 employees including Ms. Maggie Ma, Melco’s Chief Government Affairs Officer. The visit’s objective is for colleagues to strengthen national knowledge and identity through gaining a deeper understanding of the life of Mao Zedong, the founder of the People’s Republic of China. Through exploring Mao’s achievements and his remarkable life history, it is hoped that the exhibition will strengthen colleagues’ patriotism and encourage the seizing of opportunities catalyzed through the developments and success of China and Macau. Showcasing hundreds of photographs and relics of key events related to Mao, the exhibition presents the passage and development of the People’s Republic of China. The exhibition is also a celebration of the 70th and 20th anniversary of China and the Macao Special Administrative Region respectively.
Splendors of China is a Melco-developed learning program about China’s cultural heritage, history, and modernization which aims to help colleagues better understand and deliver Melco’s service promise to Mainland Chinese customers who account for the majority of the Company’s clientele. Recent program initiatives have included seminars on Chinese history and Xi Jinping Thought taught by an eminent professor from Tsinghua University, national education study trips for the company’s executives, and various exhibition visits.
