As part of Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s commitment to young local talent development, the Company hosted a closing ceremony for the participants of its Fresh Graduate Trainee Program organized by Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL). Realizing the scheme’s objectives to “self-improve through the epidemic for a brighter future”, local university graduates participated in 3-month long training programs at Melco, with trainees gaining work experience from almost a dozen of the Company’s various departments, including Hotel Operations, Food Beverage, Entertainment, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Property Services, Supply Chain, VIP Services, Construction and Transportation.

Hosted at Studio City to celebrate participants’ achievements and contributions, the ceremony was attended by Mr. Chan Un Tong, Deputy Director of the Labour Affairs Bureau and Ms. Mang Sui Yee, Head of Employment Department of the Labour Affairs BureauMr. Geoff Andres, Property President of Studio CityMr. Raymond Lo, Senior Vice President, Property General Manager, Altira and Mocha ClubsMs. Peck Yoke Chan, Vice President, Human Resources – Recruitment and Ms. Joyce Wong, Director of Training & Learning Academy were among the Melco management executives, department leaders and mentors to welcome the guests and to witness this memorable moment for the graduate trainees.

Mr. Chan Un Tong, Deputy Director of DSAL, praised the trainees for their outstanding performance and for making their first successful step into the workplace. He encouraged them to value opportunities by adjusting their mentality and to have the courage to try new things, voice opinions and face challenges in the workplace with positivity.

Ms. Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff to Melco’s Chairman & CEO, said, “The Fresh Graduate Trainee Program at Melco organized by DSAL provides local fresh graduates a glimpse into the hospitality industry through on-the-job and classroom training – helping trainees to make informed choices for their future career paths, and forms part of our commitment to local talent development, especially for young people in Macau.
