Melco Resorts & Entertainment has swept four awards for service excellence in tourism at the 2019 Macao Occupational Skills Recognition System (MORSGold Pin Competition organized by Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT). Evidencing the Company’s dedication to exceptional service and training opportunities for colleagues, Melco’s Gold Pin award winners include City of Dreams’ Ms. Lucy Yu Lu, Food & Beverage Attendant of Yí, Morpheus, for Waiter/ Waitress, Chinese Restaurant Service; and Studio City’s Ms. Rovina May Deem Barlam, Food & Beverage Attendant of Spotlight, for Waiter/ Waitress, Western Restaurant Service; Mr. Daniel Guan Weixuan, Customer Services Attendant, Hotel Operations, for Concierge & Bell Attendant; and Mr. Barry Chen Xiaoming, Room Attendant, Hotel Operations, for Room Attendant category. Established in 2002, the MORS Gold Pin Competition celebrates tourism and hospitality front-line professionals’ achievements, this year attracting more than 350 participants from nearly 40 organizations, including restaurants, hotels and integrated resorts.

Ms. Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff to Chairman and CEO of Melco, said, “We are delighted to support our team’s participation at the MORS Gold Pin Competition to further enhance their professional skills, as well as advancing industry standards through positive competition. One of Melco’s award winners, Mr. Daniel Guan Weixuan, said, “After months of training and three rounds of competition, I am excited and thankful to Melco for the opportunity to take part in the MORS Gold Pin Competition. It has been a beneficial learning experience, including through taking part in a series of training sessions and mock competitions arranged by the Company. The competition has enabled myself and teammates greater exposure to the industry as well as offering a wonderful opportunity for team-building.”
