Melco Resorts & Entertainment recently inaugurated the ‘Knowing You, Knowing Us’ campaign with the aim to serve as a communications platform between SMEs and Melco; to help SMEs get to know Melco and its employees, as well as the Company’s operational requirements and standards, and for Melco to get to know local suppliers, their businesses, services and offerings. Last week, Melco hosted its first food & beverage (F&B)-themed event titled ‘To the Table by SMEs’ under the ‘Knowing You, Knowing Us’ campaign to discuss food safety and hygiene standards with local businesses, and to provide an opportunity for direct dialogue between SMEs, the Melco culinary team and the Company’s F&B outlet representatives.

At the event organized by the Company’s Supply Chain department, Melco’s senior management executives including Ms. Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff to Chairman and CEOMr. Jarlath Lynch, Executive Vice President of Hotels and F&BMr. Calvin Soh, Vice President of F&B CulinaryMr. Perry Yuen, Vice President of VIP Services and F&B Gaming Operations; and Ms. Augusta Vargas-Prada, Vice President of Supply Chain welcomed nearly 100 local F&B industry representatives from almost 60 Macau SMEs, including members of the Macau Union Suppliers Association and Macao Chamber of Commerce specializing in a broad range of F&B categories such as Meats & Seafood; Fruits & Vegetables; Dry & Frozen Groceries; Ready-to-Eat Foods; and Beverages. 

Following a seminar discussing the Company’s food safety and hygiene standards presented by Melco’s Food Safety Team, over 40 Melco chefs from the Company’s award-winning culinary team, together with representatives from Melco’s renowned F&B outlets previewed products and services brought in by SMEs for further discussions. Both SME representatives and Melco colleagues expressed that the event was beneficial as an invaluable opportunity to share the latest market trends and better understand each other’s requirements and offerings, as well as to discuss prospective collaboration opportunities.
