As the city of Memphis begins to reopen, and as late year travel starts to look increasingly likely for itchy-footed Australians, Memphis Tourism has announced that its first recovery training webinar is back on.

The webinar was rescheduled in a sign of respect for the global civil rights movements unfolding in recent weeks, and the significance of the global anti-racism movement is particularly poignant for Memphis, a city that has played an integral role in the US Civil Rights Movement. Through its ongoing recognition and commemoration of the Movement’s hardships, struggles, and triumphs via historical landmarks around the city and through the National Civil Rights Museum, Memphis has continually worked to provide reflective exhibitions, events, and memorials.

This important history is one of the many aspects of the city that will be covered in the webinar, which is designed to give agents fresh insight into the city of Memphis, including the abundance of attractions already reopened for business. Firm favourites Graceland, the Memphis Zoo, and the Railgarten have reopened with new guidelines and protocols that ensure social distancing and the safety of guests and staff are at the forefront of operations, and some of the renowned city tours including the Ghost Walking Tour are back in operation from this week.

Led by Australian and NZ Director Chris Ingram and Memphis based International Sales Manager, Lisa Catron, the training webinar will assist agents who are preparing to sell international travel as soon as possible. Allowing up to 300 attendees to ask questions, seek details on specific attractions in Memphis, and gain a better understanding of what is already possible in the city.

The training webinar will take place at 9am AEST on Wednesday 24th June.
