Mandarin Orchard Singapore unveils showstopping feasts and festive treats perfect for gatherings with friends and family this Christmas season.

Indulge in sumptuous Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve spreads that feature flavours from all around the world at Triple Three, or add some spice to the celebrations at no less than Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro—the highest Michelin-rated Chinese restaurant in Singapore. Continue on to Bar on 5 for more revelry, with incredible bottle deals and party packages that include the best seats in the house to the much-awaited countdown balloon drop.

FESTIVE TAKEAWAY GOODIES

Mandarin Orchard Singapore’s signature Premium Honey-glazed Boneless or Bone-in Gammon Ham is a timeless favourite—prepared using an original recipe that remains a closely guarded secret since 1971.

An extravagant newcomer would be the Chicken Ballotine with Foie Gras and Black Truffle. Oven roasted to perfection, the Chicken Ballotine is stuffed with buttery foie gras and generous shavings of black truffle. Another luscious addition to this year’s line-up would be the Braised Australian Lamb Shank. Premium grade lamb shanks are delicately braised in rich port wine sauce, creating a mouth-watering combination that will leave one wanting for more. For the more health-conscious, the Baked Norwegian Salmon is a guilt-free indulgence—moist and tender within, and topped with a layer of scallop mousseline.

No yuletide feast is complete without decadent desserts. The Hotel’s wide selection of Christmas sweets features new flavours such as the Mont Blanc Yule Log, Salted Caramel and Chocolate Yule Log, and Coconut and Almond Praline Yule Log. Back by popular demand is the Valrhona Delicious Dulcey Yule Log, a combination of chocolate crémeux, candied hazelnuts, and praline mousse; while traditional items such as Christmas Stollen, Fruitcake, Gingerbread Cookies, and Festive Pralines are also available.

TRIPLE THREE

At Mandarin Orchard Singapore’s Japanese-inspired international buffet restaurant, Triple Three, expect a stunning spread of festive roasts, including staples such as Honey-glazed Gammon Ham, Roasted U.S. Turkey with Cranberry and Giblet Sauce, and Oven-roasted Kumamoto Wagyu Beef with Beef Jus.

Diners can also enjoy highlights such as Miso-marinated Foie Gras with Shaved Black Truffles, Freshly-shucked Oysters, Seafood on Ice, and Teppanyaki.

Those with a sweet tooth can look forward to an extensive assortment of Christmas cakes such as the signature Yule Logs, Fruitcake, Stollen, Festive Cookies, and Panettones.

SHISEN HANTEN BY CHEN KENTARO

Two-Michelin-starred Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro presents a specially curated six-course set menu that highlights the season’s freshest ingredients this Christmas. Notable items include Chef Kentaro’s Festive Appetisers, Shisen Hanten Signature Stir-fried Lobster with Chilli Sauce, and Stir-fried Kuroge Wagyu Beef. Adding to the menu this year is the Stewed Noodle with Hokkaido Scallop and Black Truffle—springy noodles simmered in rich superior stock, with generous servings of Hokkaido Scallops and Black Truffles.

The festive menus at Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro will be available from 23 to 31 December 2019 at $198 per person (minimum of two persons).

BAR ON 5

Gather your loved ones and celebrate the Yuletide season with Bar on 5’s amazing bottle deals. Drink to your heart’s content with a special champagne bundle offering two bottles of Laurent-Perrier at $220++ (up $270++) or with Bar on 5’s signature three-bottle whisky deals: Japanese whiskies on Iwai Mondays, Kurayoshi Tuesdays, and Tenjaku Saturdays; or opt for handcrafted single malt on Balvenie Thursdays—ranging from $300 to $400. GIANT GINGERBREAD HOUSE

From 21 November, expect the sensational debut of a life-sized gingerbread house in the main lobby, accompanied by elaborate Christmas décor to welcome the yuletide season. On Christmas Day, Santa Claus will make a special appearance to spend time with little ones. Guests will also be serenaded with Christmas carols by the Vocal Consort from 22 to 25 December 2019.
