Metro Hotel Perth has been awarded a Gold Medal in the Standard Accommodation category for the third consecutive year in the 2019 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards announced on Saturday evening. The Hotel was also inducted into the Hall of Fame in recognition of its gold medal success over the past three years.

As a Gold Medallist, Metro Hotel Perth will go on to represent Western Australia at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards being held in Canberra on March 6, 2020.

The Western Australia Tourism Awards are recognised as the most prestigious tourism awards in the State, with a long history of celebrating and recognising business excellence, innovation and outstanding customer service.

The Awards are organised by Tourism Council WA and supported by Tourism WA.

Metro Hotel Perth completed a major $14million redevelopment in 2016, which included a new 53-room ‘Aspire Wing’, a new Red Bill Restaurant and Bar, and new function rooms, reception area and lobby.

Metro Hotel Perth General Manager, Jeff Hirst, said he and staff were thrilled the property received this prestigious award for the third year running.

“Not only has this extensive renovation and refurbishment enabled us to offer a superior standard of accommodation to our corporate and leisure guests, being named the winner in this category is testament to our success in enhancing the overall standard of our property.”
