Metro Hotels’ Sydney staff, travel industry associates, guests and local residents turned up for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea at Metro Aspire Hotel Sydney on Friday 31 May in support of the Cancer Council.
For just a gold coin donation they enjoyed a delicious morning tea provided by the hotel’s Gumtree Restaurant and were given the opportunity to win a number of lucky door prizes. These included accommodation giveaways at Metro Hotels and Apartments Australia-wide, discount meal vouchers at Gumtree Restaurant in Metro Aspire Hotel Sydney, and gift hampers and chocolates.
Metro Hotels’ Managing Director, Peter Frawley said the Cancer Council Morning Tea was a great opportunity for those who attended to support a good cause.
“The Cancer Council does terrific work throughout the community raising awareness of, and funds for cancer research. The least we can do is take an hour out of our day for a cup of tea to give a little back,” he said.
