Missy Higgins is set to headline Bathurst’s Inland Sea of Sound festival which returns on the 28th – 29th February 2020.

The five-time chart topper and nine-time ARIA Award winner will be joined by rock duo Killing Heidi, Mama Kin Spender, Thando, Timberwolf and 19 Twenty, as well as some of the country’s best emerging artists and local talent, when the two-day regional festival returns to the top of WahluuMount Panorama.

They join a growing list of national and international talent attracted to Bathurst’s thriving music scene, including The Cat Empire, Thirsty Merc and Elton John, who will visit the region on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour in January 2020.

Missy Higgins said she is super excited to visit Bathurst and headline the Inland Sea of Sound festival for the first time.

“It sounds like the kind of festival I would love to go to myself, so I think it’s going to be just the right kind of vibe for my music,” said Higgins.

Regional food producers and artisans will bring a taste of Central West NSW to the mountain, which will also be adorned with interactive art installations.

Stephen Champion, Inland Sea of Sound’s event curator, said the line up and unique location make the perfect combination for an intimate regional festival experience.

“There’s something magical about being on top of Wahluu-Mount Panorama overlooking the picturesque Central Tablelands with friends and family, sipping on a glass of local wine while listening to some of the best music acts in the country, which you won’t find anywhere else,” said Champion.

Mayor of Bathurst, Councillor Bobby Bourke, said the 2020 event marks the continued growth of the festival from backyard venues in 2010 to one of the leading cultural events in Central NSW.

“Inland Sea of Sound is a great mix of music, art and culture, and the festival line up will be a major drawcard for locals and visitors,” said Councillor Bourke.

Day passes start from $52 for concession and $72 for an adult. Weekend passes are $86 for concession and $120 for an adult. Children aged 12 and under are free.
