As Vietjet forges ahead to become a leading low-cost carrier in the region, two latest accolades bear testimony to the airline’s commitment to offer flexible, cost saving ticket fares and diversified services to meet customers’ demands.

At the recent announcement and award ceremony of “Korea Prestige Brand Awards 2019” in Seoul, Vietjet was honoured as “The Best Service Foreign Low-Cost Carrier”. Vietjet’s Deputy Director of Commercial, Jay L Lingeswara, received the award at the ceremony.

The “Korea Prestige Brand Awards” is hosted by the Korea Economic Daily newspaper with the sponsorship of the Korea Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Korea Brand Management Association.  Established in 2004, the annual award selects brands that are trusted and favored by Korean customers via public survey. This year’s survey involved thousands of Korean consumers, followed by a judging panel deliberation comprising university professors and experts from related industries.

According to the organizer, Vietjet was selected in respect of its reasonable price and excellent service, which enabled more Koreans people to travel abroad thereby improving consumer satisfaction. The award is considered as a fair and trust worthy evaluation for brands in Korea.

Mr. Jay L Lingeswara, Vietjet Deputy Director of Commercial, said: “It’s a great honor for Vietjet as the first foreign airline to be received this award during its 15-year history. Currently, we are operating 8 routes between Vietnam and Korea and going to have the 9th route Nha Trang – Busan in July this year. With a desire to bring exciting flight experience to Korean customers, our flight crew currently has many Korean pilots and flight attendants, who are friendly and ready to assist local passengers. Moreover, the modern and new Airbus fleet, flexible and saving fare, and hot and delicious inflight meals are also the factors that help Vietjet to be well received in the Korean market.”

Meanwhile, Vietjet signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism for mutual cooperation from 2019 to 2021. Aimed at promoting Vietnam’s beauty, people and tourism, this concrete effort contributes to the growth target plan of the Prime Minister to welcome 18 million international visitors to Vietnam in 2019.

VNAT and Vietjet’s plans include increasing promotions in the mass media, introducing publications, documents and market research; cooperating in an international tourism fair and Vietnamese tourism abroad, organizing domestic destination surveys and events, etc.

With 108 domestic and international routes, Vietjet connects passengers to many attractions around the world. Vietjet operates safe flights with a technical reliability rate of 99.64% — the highest rate in the Asia Pacific region and also obtained the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certificate and has been awarded a 7-star ranking, the world’s highest rate for safety, by AirlineRatings.

Vietjet has been a pioneering airline, winning the hearts of millions of travelers thanks to its exciting promotions, in-flight entertainments, especially during the festive seasons. With high-quality services, diverse ticket classes and special low-cost air fares, Vietjet offers its passengers flying experiences on new aircraft with comfy seats and delicious hot meals served by dedicated and friendly cabin crew, and many more enticing add-on services.
