Celebrate Mum in style this Mother’s Day with a truly indulgent High Tea experience at Hotel Chadstone Melbourne’s opulent Altus East & West lounge, complete with an Artisan dessert bar, ruby pink chocolate fountain and live music, overlooking Melbourne’s skyline.

Director of Culinary, Deepak Mishra, has redefined the High Tea experience this Mother’s Day, creating a very special menu with an elaborate selection of exotic hot and cold savoury delights, an Artisan dessert buffet bar, a pink chocolate fountain and live Nitrogen ice-cream station.

The three-tiered High Tea tower will start with blue swimmer crab and Yarra Valley smoked salmon sandwiches, pecorino arancini balls with truffle emulsion, and chicken and wild mushroom mini pies.

Then, moving onto the start of the sweet extravaganza, delight in warm buttermilk or orange blossom, white chocolate and lavender scones, served with strawberry rose petal preserve, lemon curd and rich clotted cream.

Then for the pièce de resistance, Chef’s specially curated Artisan dessert buffet is a feast for the senses; a pink ruby chocolate fountain will be the centrepiece of the dessert buffet and a live Nitrogen ice-cream station will sit alongside it. Ice-cream flavours include a Bailey’s ice cream with brulé banana, chunks of honeycomb clusters, golden roasted nuts and salted caramel, and a cheesecake gelato with layers of red velvet, cream cheese frosting and red velvet crumble raspberry sauce.

For the all important tea component, a range of TWG Teas have been carefully selected to be paired with the menu and guests will have access to nearly ten heavenly varieties to choose from.

Keeping the mood light and delightful, guests will enjoy the exquisite sounds of harpist and singer Liana Perillo, whose presence will bring an extra touch of reverence and beauty to the elegant Altus Rooftop, which will be themed around the colour pink for the occasion. Plus, as a special thank you to all the mothers and important women in your life, they will receive a sweet memento to take home and enjoy.
