Mount Juliet Estate has joined the IMG Prestige global reciprocal network.

Host to two editions of the World Golf Championships and three Irish Opens, the club has also recently announced that the 2020 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open will be played on its Jack Nicklaus-designed course.

Mount Juliet Estate is a five-star resort set in more than 500 acres of countryside. On the Estate there are 125 bedrooms split between a Georgian Manor house and the Hunter’s Yard, both offering five-star standards and a wealth of activities.

To match the golf course, the resort offers equestrian, fishing and other estate activities along with its own dining experience in the Michelin Star restaurant, the Lady Helen.

Mount Juliet was a family home until 1989 and the Manor House remains one of Ireland’s finest country houses, as well as being County Kilkenny’s most acclaimed country Estate.

“We are delighted to welcome Mount Juliet to the IMG Prestige network. It’s a renowned tournament venue and it is great news that the Irish Open is returning to the resort next year,” said Russell Hannah, Senior Director, IMG Golf Course Services, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“We are confident that IMG Prestige members from around the world will enjoy discovering the resort and playing the Jack Nicklaus course,” he added.

Matthew Sandercock, Director of Golf at Mount Juliet, said: “Mount Juliet is internationally recognised for its five-star hospitality so we look forward to welcoming IMG Prestige members to the club, as we’re sure they will enjoy a great experience on and off the course. With the return of the Irish Open, 2020 will be an important year for us. Joining IMG Prestige is a fantastic way to close 2019.”

IMG has been responsible for the design of over 100 golf courses around the world and currently provides management and marketing services to over 20 award-winning clubs and resorts. The company also offers IMG Prestige, a global network of over 200 courses located across 34 countries.
