NATS, the UK’s leading air traffic services provider, today confirmed the appointment of Ben Kiff as Director Asia Pacific and Middle East, expanding his previous role as Director Middle East to support and shape NATS’ strategic intentions in both regions.

His 17-year career at NATS has given Ben a broad and deep understanding of the company. He has been involved in air traffic control operations and business development as well as international training, helping NATS widen its focus to support global customer needs.

Most recently, he has successfully established offices in the UAE and Oman, and was responsible for moving towards a local partnership-led approach to the company’s business in the region.

Ben said: “This is a tremendous opportunity as both regions are at the forefront of growth and innovation and I’m delighted to be able to lead our team at such an exciting time. Robust aviation infrastructure plays a central role in fueling the economic growth of countries here. We want to work with airport authorities and other industry players to enable safer, more efficient and better connected airports and airspaces.”

Martin Rolfe, CEO of NATS, added: “Ben has very relevant and significant experience and is the right person to lead our business in these important markets. This is a period of enormous growth and we believe that with our expertise and long experience there is much we can offer to help the safe development of infrastructure in both regions.”

NATS supports airports, airlines and governments through complex projects in the busiest airspaces all over the world. NATS has a history of working with governments, militaries, airport operators and airlines in countries across the world, including Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, the Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, and Kuwait.
