Travel agents will gain a vital understanding of the cruise industry’s new global health measures in a new training course to be launched today by Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia.
Cruise Dynamics, CLIA’s re-certification elective for 2021, will this year provide detailed insight into the cruise industry’s response to COVID-19 and the extensive new health protocols that will support cruising’s future.
Offered online through the CLIA Members Hub, the course explains important initiatives including the rigorous screening, testing, distancing, and sanitation measures that CLIA cruise lines have committed to worldwide.
CLIA travel agents who have renewed their membership for 2021 and hold any level of certificate (Accredited, Ambassador or Master) will need to complete the Cruise Dynamics elective to renew their certificate for the year ahead.
CLIA Head of International Training & Development Peter Kollar said this year’s Cruise Dynamics would give agent members an essential understanding of the cruise industry’s new foundations.
“This course is more than just a step towards maintaining your accreditation, it’s also an important source of knowledge for any travel agent as they prepare for the resumption of cruising and learn how to give reassurance to their clients,” Mr Kollar said. “Initiatives like this will be among our highest priorities this year as we provide support for travel agent members and work to rebuild confidence in cruising.”
Cruise Dynamics 2021 is available to all CLIA Australasia travel agents, including those without accreditation, and will be accessible via the Members Hub at www.cruising.org.au.
