Sydney is set to have an exciting new event and function space with capacity for up to 430 people, when Crown Group unveils its new Infinity Convention Centre at Green Square in September.

Infinity Convention Centre will form part of the stunning $575 million mixed-use development, Infinity by Crown Group, which is nearing completion in Green Square, the emerging heart of Sydney’s inner-south. Residents and retail tenants have scrambled for a place in the sell-out development, which is fast becoming Sydney’s most sought-after place to live, work and play.

The 20-storey building with 326 luxury apartments and a 90-room hotel has captured the public’s attention with its iconic looped design by world-renowned Koichi Takada Architects. A large void in its north-facing façade allows natural light to penetrate the 1180sqm central landscaped plaza of the building, on the corner of Botany Road and Bourke Street.

The building forms a landmark gateway to the $13 billion Green Square transformation, which will add a new train station and aquatic centre to the area. This is in addition to the stunning Green Square library that opened last year, which forms the perfect co-working or study space for visitors. Delegates will enjoy the convenience of direct access to Green Square train station and being only minutes from Sydney airport and the city.

Infinity Convention Centre will offer delegates the opportunity to mingle post-event at an exciting new eat street and dining precinct with wine and coffee bars, which is set to become a hub for the growing Green Square community from mid-year.

Crown Group’s Director of Hotels and Suites, Wayne Taranto said Infinity Convention Centre would set a new benchmark for events in Sydney, with beautiful interiors and ergonomic equipment and technology forming the perfect backdrop for events of varying styles.

“The new Infinity Convention Centre will provide a much-needed new space for sophisticated conferences, business functions, parties and weddings, in the heart of Sydney’s newest residential and commercial precinct, Green Square,” he said.

“It will attract the best events from around the world, with event managers drawn to this exciting, attractive new space, made more appealing because of its ease of access, with the airport and city so close by and the added bonus of having more than 20 new retail stores, cafes and restaurants nearby.”

Event spaces on offer include classroom style for up to 65 people, cocktail events for 450 people, sit-down dinners or weddings for 370 people, and auditorium events for 430 people. The site has excellent kitchen facilities to cater for large-scale functions.

Infinity Convention Centre’s visitors will enjoy pedestrian access from Green Square’s new Ebsworth Street and improved public transport access, with the extension of an underground pedestrian walkway and a new wheelchair access lift linking Botany Road’s public plaza with Green Square train station.

Catering to domestic and international events, this world-class multifunctional venue will be equipped with sophisticated audio-visual equipment and ergonomic seating.

Infinity by Crown Group has already caught the attention of the world, winning several awards before it has even opened: the 2014 Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) NSW Concept Design award; an Honourable Mention in the American Architecture Awards; and being named one of the world’s best projects at the 2017 Australia Property Congress.
