Save more than A$3,000 per couple on 25-day Crossing Canada package  – Book by September 30, 2018

Adventure Canada and Cruise Traveller are offering savings of more than A$3000 per couple on an icon-filled traverse across the world’s second biggest country, Canada. The 25-night Crossing Canada package in August, 2019, includes an 11-night Arctic expedition cruise, classic rail journeys, stays in world-famous hotels, flights from Australia, and the chance to spot Canada’s quintessential wildlife including whales, walrus, moose, mountain goats, wolves, coyotes, and polar bears.

After a free hotel stay in Canada’s capital, Ottawa, guests will fly to the Inuit hamlet of Qausuittuq (Resolute) in Canada’s far north, and board Adventure Canada’s 198-passenger expedition ship, the Ocean Endeavour. The 11-night cruise will journey through Canada’s Arctic Archipelago, passing the coast of the largest uninhabited island on Earth—the 50,000 square kilometre Devon Island, with its flat-topped mountains and glacial valleys. As the ship cruises through fjords and the icy Arctic waters, guests can look out from the deck and search for seabirds, marine mammals, muskoxen, and caribou on the islands’ shores and polar bears which can weigh up to 700 kilograms and are the world’s largest land predator.

The expedition will continue across the Davis Strait to Greenland, where guests will visit icebergs, glaciers and charming Arctic communities.

The package also includes a 13-day post-expedition cruise itinerary in which guests will first explore the vibrant and multicultural city of Toronto while staying at the five-star Fairmont Royal York for three nights. Guests will then take a three-night train journey from Toronto to Jasper in the Canadian Rockies, enjoying spectacular views from the comfort of a private cabin. While staying at a mountain resort at Jasper National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, guests will participate in a wildlife tour in search of elk, bear, deer, mountain goats, coyotes, moose, wolves, and the other wild mountain animals that make their homes in the Rocky Mountains.

The journey features a night’s stay in the famous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and two nights in the grand Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel as well as a luxury two-day ride in premium Goldleaf class aboard the iconic Rocky Mountaineer train from Banff to Vancouver before the flight back to Australia.

Departing August 5, 2019, Adventure Canada’s 25-night Crossing Canada package is available from A$32,695 per person, twin share, which represents a saving of more than A$1550 per person, if booked by September 30, 2018. Fares include return economy flights from Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne, the 11-night expedition cruise and the 13-night overland coach and rail tour. The package is subject to availability and conditions apply.
