The 20th annual Argyle Diamonds Ord Valley Muster in Kununurra, Western Australia, is set to be a true celebration with four blockbuster events added the festival program held from 15 to 24 May 2020.

Added to the ten-day program is Art in the Park, a cultural experience of arts, craft and song on Sunday 17 May; The Flaming Galahs: Great Australian Songbook a new show on Monday 18 May that celebrates the music of Australia from hundreds of years ago to current hits; Corroborree Under The Stars returns to the Waringari Arts Centre on Thursday 21 May; and a mayhem is sure to ensue at Aunty Boo’s Variety Diner on Thursday 21 May.

Ord Valley Events chairman Beau Robinson said that this year’s program has been bolstered to really add a sense of celebration to the festival.

“You could say that the new shows will be on the fringe, but that’s what a festival is about, creating a good time for everyone,” Beau said.

“Besides the Corroboree, all events will be held at the new venue at Celebrity Tree Park, the Ord Valley Muster Hub which is walking distance to town.”

The Flaming Galahs, Monty Cotton and Adam ‘Spaghetti Fingers’ (upright bass, keyboard, ukulele), will take us along a cracking Australian musical timeline with classics from Banjo Paterson, Slim Dusty, Hunters and Collectors, INXS, Powderfinger, Vance Joy, and more! There’ll be a full bar and food available for purchase at the Ord Valley Muster Festival Hub.

Aunty Boo’s Variety Diner promises a night of comedy, burlesque and circus and Auntie Boo’s famous Meat Raffle! (Not. Even. Kidding). The show is hosted by the murderous mistress of mayhem, Auntie Boo, self-described as the Hostess with the Mostest, Party Bringer and Variety Queen with a penchant for leopard print. The show is strictly 18+ at the Ord Valley Muster Festival Hub.

The festival program includes two nights of side-splitting laughs at Comedy in the Park with brilliantly funny comics Ivan Aristeguieta, Steph Tisdell, Kevin Kropinyeri and host Harley Breen.

There’s also a series of secret suppers, early morning bliss with yoga boats, a family-friendly closing party and the highlight of the ten days, the Aviair HeliSpirit Kimberley Moon Experience with an all-star line-up featuring Indigenous super star Jessica Mauboy and rock music legend Jon Stevens supported by Busby Marou that’s set to get the party started on Saturday 16 May. This coincides with the first direct flights from Melbourne to Kununurra that commence on 15th May 2020 via Virgin Australia.

Party goers might like to be on the other side of the fence at the glamorous Kimberley Fine Diamonds Dinner which includes champagne, canapes, multi-course dining under the big Kimberley starry sky and exclusive dance floor to party the night away to the same amazing show.
