NEW Kiama Passport for Kids

September 8, 2020 Visit STH Pacific & Oceania No Comments Email Email

The Kiama Passport for Kids has been created by Melissa Mylchreest, who is still learning how to slow down. Life, as Melissa knew it, changed when she became burnt out from years of work at highprofile magazines. In recent times she has discovered the health and well-being benefits of being in nature.

The Kiama Passport for Kids is the result of Melissa’s experiences and the launch project of Rewilding Life – Melissa’s new found mission.

Rewilding Life is about letting nature take over. It’s little books, guides and maps that give us a nudge to step outside, no matter where we live, and explore our immediate surroundings. It’s about slowing down and opening our senses to notice the little things we ordinarily step over or walk past on any given day.

The Kiama Passport for Kids offers:

  • 80 pages of family fun
  • Seven itineraries including Boneyard, Minnamurra Rainforest, Kiama Harbour, Easts Beach, Blackhead
    Reserve and more
  • A chance to learn about local nature and habitats
  • Activities, colour in and write about your
    adventures as you go
  • Mindful adventuring
  • 40 colour stickers of local
wildlife featured in the book +
    Seasonal Sightings: A guide
    to local flora and fauna
  • A keepsake of memories
