Angus Mackay has been appointed as P&O Cruises’ first dedicated Key Account Manager to complement its new sales support operation, Flagship Concierge, with Angus an experienced business development manager, boasting a successful 12-year career with P&O having previously managed the cruise line’s trade relationships across northern New South Wales.Angus will start his new role in December 2020, with is role including growing P&O’s portfolio of key trade relationships across Australia, with P&O adding, offering a premium level of business development and comprehensive support to travel agent partners.
Angus said he was looking forward to supporting the travel agent community in rebuilding and reinvigorating their businesses to deliver memorable cruise holidays to their valued customers, adding, “I’m excited about this new role and working with our key trade partners to maximise opportunities when cruising resumes in Australia. I’m also looking forward to seeing Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter welcome their first guests on their maiden voyages from Sydney and Brisbane” adding, “This role will be pivotal in giving our key partners the tools and information they need to maximise their P&O sales, and I’m keen to learn even more about their businesses in the interim as we work together towards this day.”

It appears Angus will complement P&O Cruises Australia’s recently revamped Flagship Concierge team, based in the Chatswood head office, which will provide first-class support for travel agents as the world returns to the new normal post-COVID-19, with the Flagship Concierge team allowing travel agents to go to the heart of the organisation to have their support needs met during this complex and ever-evolving time for the cruise industry.
