New whale swim cruises launched in Tahiti

New week-long whale swim cruises have been launched in Tahiti by Australian eco-experience company, Majestic Whales Encounters. The unique cruises will see guests spend six nights aboard a brand new 16m catamaran as they sail the turquoise waters off the island of Moorea and swim with wild humpback whales.

Departing on September 16 or 22,  2019, the six-night cruise includes onboard accommodation, all main meals and five full days whale watching and swimming with the giant mammals. Guests can also safely swim alongside stingrays, reef sharks and even dolphins. The Tahiti climate is marine tropical, with warm, sunny days all year round – perfect for swimming in the Polynesian waters.

The island of Moorea is known for its striking mountain peaks, translucent lagoon, coral reefs, lush valleys and white-sand beaches, and guests will have time to explore the island at their leisure, visiting beach bars, markets and cultural sites.

While onboard the catamaran, guests will stay in air-conditioned ensuite bedrooms and can laze onboard with a book or cocktail, or listen to marine and whale talks given by an expert guide. Main meals and soft drinks are included, with other beverages available for purchase..

Trip extensions are also available from Majestic Whales, enabling guests to stay at either the Hilton Moorea or the Conrad Bora Bora, extending the holiday with a luxurious resort stay.

Including six nights onboard the catamaran, five full days swimming with humpback whales and all main meals, the package is available from $5500 per person, twin-share. International flights are extra.

Majestic Whales Encounters is a family-run company known for its responsible and unique whale swim holidays in Tonga. Reflecting the demand for immersive holiday experiences, this new package is part of Majestic Whales’ expansion beyond Tonga, with the Tahiti tours following in the wake of other new destinations such as Norway, with Canada earmarked for 2020.
