The time of uncertainty continues in our travel world. Local Government as well as our global suppliers grappling with this pandemic on a daily basis, announce their policies which are changing almost on a daily basis. It is a difficult time for everyone. We also understand that it is a difficult time for our TIC members and that everyone in some way is affected. We empathise with you as we do everyone in the travel industry, our communities and the world.
The rolling uncertainty of whether your holiday plans middle to later in the year will eventuate is hopeful but uncertain. Airlines and cruise lines are in holding patterns awaiting the lifting of travel bans.
The uncertainty is what we are dealing with. My late roguish sister, a psychologist, had a saying: ‘It is the not knowing that puts people in the looney bin”. That has stuck with me forever for when we know what the situation is, we can deal with it. We know everyone is trying their best and being passionate travel people, we are hoping that our world will return to us soon.
