News From Your Travel Club

This Week With TIC

It is encouraging to learn that there are signs of some global relaxation in the lockdown modes. Any signs of recovery is heartening to us, even if travel bans are not yet in the same scope.

As I have previously mentioned, cancellations by airlines and cruise lines are on a creeping basis. Some more members received notifications this week. If you have not, then the supplier has not cancelled the service and our advice is to wait until your booking is cancelled to get the best outcome.

Most travel plans from July onwards are still ‘live’ which lends hope that the suppliers at this stage are expecting to operate. I realise this all depends on the Government’s decision on opening borders for us to be able to travel. No crystal ball on this matter at the moment but I can relate that we have many frustrated members who are waiting to travel again. I add that on the cancelled services so far, the majority of our members have elected to take future credits.

It is encouraging to know that, as a travel industry organisation, our members are demonstrating to support the suppliers, and realise that this will help the industry get back up & running.

We all need to help each other so our unique club will continue to receive the industry discounted benefits we enjoy from our industry suppliers.

New cruises this week are close to home as it is anticipated that the Australia & New Zealand borders could open in the foreseeable future.
