International hospitality company Next Story Group has partnered with renowned MasterChef Australia guest judge Christy Tania in the roll out of its Food and Beverage strategy. The Group has been growing from strength to strength in the past 12 months, having recently launched the first Ink Hotel in Melbourne and extended its Kafnu footprint to Sydney and Ho Chi Minh City. As part of its growth strategy, the Group is embarking on a strategic Food and Beverage masterplan that will transform its food and beverage outlets at its properties across its brands – Next, Sage, Ink and Kafnu.

As the Group’s Food and Beverage consultant, Christy Tania will assist in the development
and execution of the Group’s Food and Beverage strategy. Her responsibilities include
concept development, optimising food and beverage performance and talent recruitment for
the Group’s food and beverage outlets. She will work closely with heads of operations and
property General Managers to ensure the success of the food and beverage outlets at the
Group’s 20 properties which include the upcoming opening of Next Melbourne in Australia and
Kafnu St Marks in India next year.

“We are pleased to welcome one of Australia’s well-known chefs and business owners Christy
Tania on board. Her extensive culinary expertise and experience will be an asset in helping
us in the transformation and enhancement of our food and beverage offerings at our hotels
and Kafnu properties. We believe that food and beverage can be one of our key differentiators
in providing an extraordinary experience as part of exploring a new destination or immersing
in a culture or location. Our goal is to create cutting-edge food and beverage concepts that
guests can look forward to enjoying and at the same time, raise the bar for culinary excellence
within the Group,” said Darren Edmonstone, Chief Executive Officer of Next Hotels & Resorts.
Christy trained as a pastry chef at the Ecole Nationale Superieure de La Patisserie in France
and is the owner and head chef of GLACÉ Dessert Artisanal in Melbourne. She was previously
a pastry guest judge on MasterChef Australia and has also worked at Ritz Paris Hotel, Guy
Savoy in Singapore, as well as Vue De Monde and various hotels in Melbourne. Prior to her
culinary career, she was a business analyst and consultant with IBM Global Business
Services.

“Next Story Group has a growing portfolio of exciting brands and properties with amazing
opportunities to showcase creative food and beverage concepts. I am honoured to have the
opportunity to not only be a part of this journey, but also help shape ground-breaking concepts
and bring them to life at their properties in top destinations across the Asia Pacific region,”
said Christy.
