Trusted hotel brand, NH Hotels has today announced plans for its foray into the Australian market, with the upcoming launch of NH Hotel Wollongong.

An Australian first for NH Hotel Group’s upscale and midscale brand, the new build development is set for completion in Spring 2023 and will be located in the premier position of Burelli Street in the rapidly transforming CBD of Wollongong, 80km South of Sydney.

Joining an existing portfolio of over 243 NH Hotels properties globally, which are known for their quality of service and facilities, the Wollongong property will be the ideal base for corporate and leisure travellers alike.

‘We are pleased to be launching the trusted and reputable NH Hotels brand within Australia.’ commented Craig Hooley, Chief Operating Officer for Minor Hotels Australia and New Zealand.

‘A high-profile brand throughout Europe, Latin America and Africa, we are confident that NH Hotels’ easy-going, urban and fresh service offering will be very well received in the Australian market.’

LOCATED IN THE HEART OF THE EMERGING WOLLONGONG CBD

NH Hotels are invariably situated in the best city locations, which effortlessly connect guests with key corporate and leisure destinations.

NH Wollongong will be positioned in Burelli Street, in the heart of Wollongong’s emerging CBD, within walking distance to Wollongong station and WIN Sports & Entertainment Centres. In addition, the location is within close proximity to primary Wollongong beaches, affording its guest rooms premium ocean views.

‘We were eager to launch NH Hotel in Wollongong due to the exciting overhaul of the city centre, which is currently taking place in line with Wollongong Council’s commitment to grow commercial office space by 120,000m2 by 2036. Burelli Street is set to be transformed to a premium commercial street, with 10,500 new jobs expected to be created in the region.’ Said Craig Hooley, Chief Operating Officer for Minor Hotels Australia and New Zealand.

‘NH Wollongong’s position in the heart of Burelli Street renders it the ideal location for corporate travellers wanting to be close by to the office, and for leisure travellers wanting to be in the heart of the pulsing CBD.’
