Queensland’s three NRL clubs will face an off-field test today, at the NRL Season Launch Lunch at the Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC).

The lunch will feature a massive line-up of NRL names from the Brisbane Broncos, North Queensland Cowboys and Gold Coast Titans including coaches Anthony Seibold, Paul Green and Garth Brennan, along with the captains of each club.

With week one of the NRL season kicking off next Thursday, the clubs will be drilled with tough questions in a panel discussion with league experts from The Courier-Mail. There will also be an audience Q&A with new Broncos coach Seibold and a sit down interview with NRL CEO Todd Greenberg.

Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle said almost 400 people were expected to attend the high-profile event.

“Queenslanders are very passionate about their sporting teams, so we’re really looking forward to launching the NRL season at our world-class Royal ICC for the very first time,” he said.

“March is a busy month for the Brisbane Showgrounds, hosting 30 events including Beer InCider Experience this Saturday which is expecting almost 10,000 people.”

The NRL Season Launch Lunch gets underway at midday today.
