Expect big belly laughs at the renewed Comedy in the Park held over two nights of hilarity on May 25 and 26 during the Ord Valley Muster in Kununurra, Western Australia.Ord Valley Events chairman Beau Robinson said that this year’s comedy has been curated to bring quality comedians and guaranteed laughs to the Muster.

“After the year we’ve all had, a good laugh is just the tonic we need!” Beau said.

“We’ve hand-picked these comedians to entertain the crowds at the 20th Anniversary of the Ord Valley Muster, and it’ll be held in the new Festival Hub venue at Celebrity Tree Park, walking distance to town.”

Comedy in the Park will feature brilliantly funny comics Fiona O’Loughlin, Ivan Aristeguieta and Kevin Kropinyeri.

Fiona O’Loughlin has always known the power of a great story and a good joke to show us a truth about ourselves, which is why she is one of our most loved comedians. Fiona’s new show ‘The Unreliable Witness’ is her story, the promise of better days and will be an inspiration to anyone who has lost the way.

A late starter with an award-winning career of over 20 years, Fiona performs to packed houses in venues and festivals across the globe. Winner of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s (MICF) Best Newcomer Award in 2001, and in 2006, Fiona took home the coveted MICF Piece of Wood, an award for funniest show as voted for by other comedians. In 2007 and 2008 she was nominated for the MICF’s Barry Award for Best Show, and in 2013, Fiona was awarded Adelaide Comedy’s Best Visiting Comedian award.

Venezuelan sensation and Australia’s funniest permanent resident Ivan Aristeguieta returns to Muster after a hilarious performance in 2016.

“For us comedians, a gig outdoors is a threat because it usually doesn’t work, but the organisers of the Muster did a wonderful job. It was amazing that on both nights all comedians connected with the 500-strong audience. Everyone was laughing, the weather was perfect, under the stars, it was really magical,” Ivan said.

Ivan is Australia’s favourite Venezuelan comedian and relishes the chance to perform in his second language, English. From his own ABC sitcom, Lost in Pronunciation, to his debut live stand up TV special, Chorizo Sizzle, Ivan exploded on to the scene with his brilliant observations on Aussie culture and food, taking him around the country, headlining theatres and selling out festivals.

Ivan has gathered a mass of fans for his trademark cheerful and naive rejoicing in the troubles and joys of a land that is girt by tomato sauce…and the unmissable Saturday Bunnings sausage sizzle.

Deadly Awards comedian Kevin Kropinyera is a one-man whirlwind and one of Australia’s most established and popular Aboriginal comedians with a long list of Australian TV credits.

Ord River, near Kununurra.

A high-energy performer, Kevin is sharp, likeable, silly and measured; mixing keen observational stand up with joyfully ridiculous physical comedy. His engaging brand of comedy warmly invites both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal audiences to share his journey, his culture, his life.

Kevin will have you holding your sides laughing, as he shares tales of growing up, marriage and the particular, absurd challenges of life as an Aboriginal Australian family man.

The 18+ Comedy at the Park will be held on Tuesday 25 May and Wednesday 26 May 2021 at the Ord Valley Muster Festival Hub at Celebrity Tree Park, Kununurra. Tickets on sale now at www.ordvalleymuster.com.au.
