Original Orlando Tours, Orlando’s top-rated and family owned local tour company, has announced the launch of the Winter Park Old Fashioned Christmas Cruise, a new Central Florida holiday tradition, departing from the docks of East Morse Street in Winter Park. The first of five scheduled voyages takes place on Tuesday, December 15.
“In 2020, I think more than ever, there is a feeling of nostalgia as we enter this time of the year. We want to transport guests away from the troubles of the day to a simple evening of holiday spirit and fellowship,” explained Original Orlando Tours President & CEO Rich Bradley. “We’ve created a magical, relaxing evening of music, fun and all the trimmings of the Christmas season!”
Tours last approximately 90 minutes and leave promptly at 6:30pm on selected dates from the docks at 312 East Morse Boulevard in Winter Park, Florida. Each sailing includes Christmas music and caroling, holiday trivia, and a reading of T’was the Night Before Christmas under starlit winter skies as guests glide along the calm waters of several Winter Park lakes. Each guest also receives a gift bag with holiday treats, including from ICON Park’s famous Shack Sweets Bakery.
“We wanted to create something special this year; something that could evolve into an annual Christmas tradition that we all look forward to each year going forward,” said Sarah Bradley, General Manager of Original Orlando Tours. “Given how complex our lives have gotten, going back to enjoying simple, classic traditions on the water and under the stars just seemed so appealing.”
Dates and seating are extremely limited due to COVID safety protocols in effect for 2020. There are only 60 seats total available for sale each of the nights of the cruise, which include Tuesday, December 15; Thursday, December 17; Friday, December 18; Sunday, December 20; and Tuesday, December 22.
