Panorama Destination, one of the region’s premier tour operators, has joined the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

Panorama was founded by Adhi Tirtawisata in 1972. Over the ensuing five decades, the company has evolved and expanded into Panorama Leisure Group, integrating tourism, transportation and hospitality as the core of the Group’s business activities.

Panorama Destination was founded in December 1999 and is made up of more than 1,000 travel professionals and licensed tour guides, specialising in inbound travel services.

“We operate a network of offices across Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and soon Vietnam, providing unmatched tourism services,” said Renato Domini, the company’s Chief Executive Officer. “Last year alone, more than 150,000 inbound tourists trusted their travel arrangements to us.”

A certified Travelife Sustainability Partner, Panorama Destination was named ‘Best Tour Operator in Indonesia’ in 2007, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018 by TTG Asia and ‘Most Popular Destination Company for MICE’ in 2015.

The company was also named ‘Best Inbound Travel Agency in Southeast Asia’ by Travel Weekly in 2016 and 2018, and included in the Forbes 50 Best of the Best companies for 2017.

In recent years, Panorama Destination’s reputation as a specialist in golf travel has been enhanced.

“With expertly designed and carefully maintained courses, cutting-edge facilities and comprehensive hospitality packages, our destinations offer dream trips into the tropics for golfers the world over,” said Domini. “Premier international competitions are often held here, whilst amateur events and private excursions are also common, letting you work on your game, test your mettle, or see the pros in action.

“Whether you’re interested in spectating, competing or just practicing on sublime tropical courses, Panorama Destination will get you to the green.”

The latest golfing venture under the banner of Panorama Destination is the World Amateurs Indonesian Super 6 Masters, to be staged at Bali National Golf Club from September 8-14.

The event is modelled on the European Tour’s World Super 6 format, played at Lake Karrinyup Golf Course and attended by top professionals from around the world.

Following 72 holes of individual Stableford, the top 16 players will proceed to the quarter-finals for the Super 6 Match Play. From there, players will play six holes of Match Play off their Super 6 Handicap.

Eric Lynge, the Asian Golf Industry Federation’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “As we’ve highlighted at various of our Mini Summits around the region, golf tourism is becoming big business in Asia – and making an increasingly significant contribution to economies.

“Through their efforts, golf tour operators are bringing revenue to clubs, increasing the number of rounds played and highlighting the quality of golf courses here.

“We’re delighted to welcome Panorama Destination to the AGIF as an Associate Business Member.”
