Park Distillery in Banff National Park Canada renowned for serving 100% local handmade spirits and campfire cuisine are bottling and donating sanitizer solution to the Town of Banff’s Emergency Coordination Centre, to protect essential services and the most vulnerable members of the community.
“We are using the same equipment for making our spirits, though adjusting our process and keeping the strength higher,” said Yannis Karlos of Banff Collective, owners of Park Distillery.
The Town will distribute the sanitizer to the community free of charge and to date their first batch of 250, 200ml bottles have now been delivered.
Karlos has also been taking inquiries on producing high-proof alcohol for medical sterilization. They could be shipping product to a plant in Calgary, that is currently retooling to produce parts for ventilators and to service needs within the community.
