Delegates at next week’s PCO Association Conference in Melbourne will be asked to band together and help #getNZonthemap at the 100% Pure New Zealand hub.The campaign is inspired by Tourism New Zealand’s latest hit video which features influential Kiwi figures, including Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and comedian Rhys Darby, working to overcome the conspiracy of New Zealand being left off world maps.

Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) Australia Manager, Sharon Auld says delegates can help complete a fun quiz to connect the dots on a giant map. “Once New Zealand is on the map and all the dots are connected, we will be serving New Zealand’s Cloudy Bay Pelorus bubbles to celebrate.”

“Our 100% Pure New Zealand hub promises to be a welcoming space for delegates to engage and network, with lots of reasons to return and talk with New Zealand participants over the two days,” she says.

For PCOA delegates, CINZ is launching the MEETINGS 2019 hosted buyer programme with express applications available during the PCOA Conference on 10 and 11 December. As well as attending the two-day MEETINGS trade show in Auckland, delegates can also apply to join one of four pre-famils visiting Northland, Rotorua, Wellington or Queenstown. A select group of Australian hosted buyers will also have the chance take part in a special trip south for the Christchurch Uncovered programme post-MEETINGS.

On Monday 10 December, futurist and keynote speaker Rohit Talwar will be at the 100% Pure New Zealand hub signing his book, The Future of Business. The first 50 delegates to visit the stand at morning tea will receive a free book.

During lunch on both Monday and Tuesday, delegates are invited to join the team at the New Zealand hub for their annual Cloudy Bay wine event, now a PCOA conference ritual. Kiwi beers and Antipodes water will also be on offer.

This year, 19 venues, hotels, convention bureaus and activity operators from across the country are exhibiting at the PCOA Association Conference with CINZ and Tourism New Zealand in Melbourne.
