Valentine’s Day is one of the most popular days to propose and in celebration of the romantic month of February, Destination NSW reveals some enchanting places to pop the question. With everything from snow-capped mountains to whimsical castles and sunlit picnics amongst the vineyards, here are 15 ideas for memorable NSW spots to say ‘Yes!’ …

Hunter Valley
Picnic among the vines in the beautiful Hunter Valley. Pick up cheese platter ingredients from The Smelly Cheese Shop, sweets from The Hunter Valley Chocolate Company and wine from a boutique winery. Set up in one of the natural havens dotted throughout the region, such as the grounds of Pokolbin Community Hall, Wollombi Wines, or Audrey Wilkinson Winery, with stunning valley views.

South Coast

Fairytale castle
Along the drive from Greenethorpe to Young in Central NSW, a castle rises up amongst the rural landscape. The owners offer Open Days (the next one is Easter Long Weekend) or you can get in touch for special events. Take a picnic and explore this magical part of Australian history.
