Destination Kiama is supporting the FREE bushfire relief concert – Play It Forward – on Sunday 26 January.

The Kiama and District Business Chamber is hosting the concert at Hindmarsh Park, with the support of Council as well as the Kiama Leagues Club.
Chamber President Cameron McDonald said each organisation has ‘chipped in’ a significant amount of financial support to hold Play It Forward.
“It’s a great example of how the Kiama community always works together when it comes to helping others in need.”
Mr McDonald said he was thrilled to have the services of local Brendon Comber, who will produce the concert.
“Brendon is known to many of us because of his great work bringing the Kiama community together following the Indian Ocean Tsunami some 15 years ago.”
“Since then he has been involved in the Production, event direction and music direction of countless events, concerts and festivals.”
Local ‘up-and-comers’ 19 Twenty, fresh from supporting Cold Chisel, have already signed up for Play It Forward, with other acts to be confirmed.
Chair of Destination Kiama, Councillor Matt Brown, said the concert was a great way for the Kiama community to show their support for their neighbours down south.
“Kiama has avoided the worst of the bushfires, unlike our family, friends, colleagues and team mates in the Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Bega Valley,” Clr. Brown said.
“Play It Forward is a chance to show our support in a very practical way.”
Mr McDonald said all money raised from Play It Forward will go directly to those South Coast communities affected by the bushfires.
“We are working to ensure the funds raised go straight to these people, who are just like you and me, but have had their lives turned upside down.”
Play It Forward is being held in Hindmarsh Park from 3.30pm to 8pm on Sunday 26 January.
Entry will be FREE, with donation collection points throughout the venue.
