South African Tourism in collaboration with South African Airways and MW Tours, is giving six agents the chance to win a spot on a breathtaking famil to South Africa thanks to the launch of its brand-new gaming app. Launching today, the exciting app provides a fun and interactive gaming experience that also educates agents on South Africa.

The game, aptly named ‘So you think you know South Africa… think again’ can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play and is designed to expand an agent’s knowledge of the destination.

The app is suitable for all levels, from agents who don’t know much about South Africa to absolute experts. Each player is taken on a journey of South Africa from province to province, seeking stars by answering the multiple choice questions.

Those players who are still finetuning their South African expertise can use the three “Power Ups” (Power Cards):

  • A Giraffe’s neck – helps stretch the time a little
  • An Elephant’s Wisdom – removes 2 options, giving you a 50/50 chance
  • A Springbok’s jump – skipping to the next question

Bonus rounds enable players to collect more “Power Ups” by locating hidden icons within a series of images showcasing the people and places of South Africa.

Agents can track their performance against other players from around Australia and New Zealand on the games’ leader board.

The competition runs from 2 October 2019 – 10 January 2020. Every star earned, equals one entry into the competition, the more stars the more entries and chances of winning*. At the end of the competition period, six lucky agents will be selected at random. Agents can increase their chance of winning by completing all levels of the game.

The famil includes:

  • Return economy flights departing either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland or Wellington to South Africa, courtesy of South African Airways
  • Domestic flights in South Africa; and
  • 7 nights’ accommodation (4-5 stars) including a luxury safari lodge, activities including day tours and game drives and most meals, courtesy of MW Tours.
