P&O Cruises Australia is closing the year in style after winning six accolades from the highly esteemed annual Cruise Critic Australia, Cruise Passenger and Family Travel Awards.

Cruise Critic Australia’s Editors’ Pick Awards named Pacific Aria’s dry dock as the best ship refurbishment of 2018 following enhancements made to The Dome, 28 suites, 120 balcony cabins and Penthouse plus the addition of a new Barber Shop.

P&O was also appointed the best cruise line for kids by Cruise Passenger’s Readers’ Choice Awards and for the third year in a row, was also bestowed the title of best contemporary cruise line.

P&O’s family offering was also recognised by Family Travel People’s Choice Awards who named the cruise line the best choice for families and for larger families of five people or more and families with special needs.

P&O Cruises President Sture Myrmell said the industry acknowledgements were a fitting way to end a very successful year for the brand which recently announced the forthcoming arrival of the cruise line’s first Grand Class ship, Pacific Adventure.

“We are thrilled to close out 2018 with six fantastic new awards which are testament to the hard work and dedication of guests, agents and the crew across our entire fleet as well as the team on shore.

“The recognition follows a big year of significant announcements including news that P&O will welcome its first Grand Class ship, Pacific Adventure, to the fleet and Pacific Explorer’s move to Brisbane in October 2020,” Mr Myrmell said.
