Thirteen big-name comedians, including Tom Gleeson, Dave Hughes, Dave Thornton and Mel Buttle will perform 32 shows and a combined 1,500 minutes of jokes during the jam-packed three-night cruise departing Sydney on June 8, 2019.

P&O Cruises President Sture Myrmell said the festival continues to build on the cruise line’s already extremely popular comedy entertainment offering.

“Following the success of our inaugural ‘The Big Laugh’ cruise in 2018, we are thrilled to deliver another stellar line-up of comedians and shows for our guests. From big marquee performances to intimate gigs in our many stylish bars and lounges, the cruise will serve up different comedy genres every day and night. There will be something for everyone,” Mr Myrmell said.

The line-up for ‘The Big Laugh’ 2019 also includes Luke McGregor, Heath Franklin’s Chopper, Randy, Danielle Walker, Ivan Aristeguieta, Georgie Carroll, Mick Meredith, Dean Atkinson, and Ellen Briggs.

The announcement comes as P&O prepares to deliver its biggest ever season of comedy, comprising 38 dedicated comedy cruises in 2019.

A selection of leading acts will headline the additional comedy cruises P&O has on offer – a mix of two, three and four-night Short Breaks departing Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland.

Mr Myrmell said the cruise line continues to pave the way as the biggest provider of comedy Down Under.

“Aussies have an undeniable appetite for comedy and it continues to be a hugely successful part of our itineraries with 780 shows now performed across our fleet each year. That’s more than two comedy shows a day – a figure to rival comedy stores around the country,” Mr Myrmell said.

‘The Big Laugh’ on Pacific Explorer departs Sydney on June 8, 2019. Fares start from $399* per person twin share.
