Pole position: PONANT has been exploring both polar regions for over 20 years, building knowledge and expertise, as well as investing in new-generation purpose-built luxury expedition ships. The result: PONANT carries more passengers to the Arctic and Antarctic regions than any other cruise company.

PONANT’s luxurious, compact, eco-sensitive ice-rated ships – the youngest such fleet in the world – are perfect for polar exploration, allowing guests to explore these remote areas in comfort and style.

Each voyage includes an expert Expedition Team, specialists who share their experiences and skills to maximise guest’s enjoyment. Depending on the voyage selected, experience Zodiac®exploration through ice fields, visit remote villages of peat houses where the last bear hunters and narwhal fishers live in the middle of the Arctic tundra, search for polar bears, photograph a myriad of bird and marine life, glaciers and stunning fjords. These are immersive journeys, the memories of which will remain with you forever.

Regular lectures onboard presented by the Expedition Team add a further dimension, enhancing each voyage with informative presentations which may include the history, geology, marine and bird life, and anthropology of the region, adding further perspectives, context and a deeper understanding of these special places.
