PONANT, the global leader in luxury expeditions, offers a new perspective on the riches of the Seychelles, aboard Le Bougainville, one of the PONANT EXPLORERS, a new generation of small ships designed to reach far-flung lands.

With its 115 islands, the Seychelles archipelago is a dream destination for adventurous travellers in search of tranquillity and fabulous landscapes: tropical forests, ecological reserves and granite ridges forming extraordinary panoramas, sandy beaches, turquoise waters with coral sea beds, not to mention the endemic fauna and flora unlike any other in the world!

Aboard Le Bougainville, a ship in the PONANT EXPLORERS series, guests will be able to enjoy new travel experiences in the Seychelles in exceptional conditions: intimate, smaller-capacity (only 92 staterooms and suites), design, innovative technology and respect for the environment.

Guests will be able to appreciate all the riches of this sublime archipelago’s subaquatic world from the “Blue Eye” multi-sensory underwater lounge that is unique to PONANT. To allow the spirit and the gaze to dive into the spectacle unfolding outside, guests simply need to take a seat on one of the Body Listening sofas, which enable unprecedented unique sensory perception through corporal resonance, open their eyes and admire the subaquatic world thanks to underwater projectors that are non-intrusive on the marine biosphere. For a unique acoustic immersion experience, these views are combined with state-of-the-art hydrophones so as to retransmit the natural symphony of the ocean depths.

Another exclusive technological prowess, particularly appropriate for this destination, is the flexible, 3-position marina platform that lets guests get as close as possible to the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean: a fully-fitted sundeck for sunbathing, drinking in the blue of the archipelago; a submersible mini-port enabling direct access to the flotilla of Zodiac boats on-board; or skimming the water to enable water sports. A myriad of customised activities completes this exceptional programme, such as swimming in the sea, kayaking, paddle boarding, diving, snorkelling, water-skiing, fishing, and more.
