For the second year in a row, Quasar Expeditions has been named the No. 1 small-ship ocean cruise line in Travel + Leisure’s annual World’s Best Awards. http://www.stevecafeandcuisine.com/

Based on an extensive readers’ survey where individual cruise ships were rated on their cabins, services, itineraries, activities, facilities and value, the results were announced on 10 July with the awards ceremony to be held in New York City today, 16 July.

“It is such an honour that our guests and the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine have once again chosen Quasar Expeditions as their top small-ship cruise line,” said Dolores Gangotena Diez, Founder and Director of PR at Quasar Expeditions.

“This award really is a testament to our team’s passion and ongoing dedication in ensuring our guests experience the Galapagos Islands in the very best way possible. And that largely includes being in a small group setting attended to by an attentive crew; itineraries and schedules that ensure maximum time and exclusivity for all of the activities and wildlife experiences; world-class cuisine; and of course, the elegantly appointed spacious and comfortable cabins.

“We are incredibly thrilled with the win; and truly appreciate each and every person who took the time to vote for us,” she said.

According to Travel + Leisure, this is also the first time in 10 years that the same small-ship company has taken out the title back to back.

Quasar Expeditions operates cruises around the Galapagos Islands on their two yachts, the M/V Evolution and M/Y Grace, and will soon be adding a third yacht to their fleet. The privately owned company is a strong advocate of sustainability, offering carbon neutral adventures and partnering with several conservation organisations. Quasar’s core mission is to provide guests the opportunity to visit remote destinations while leaving the smallest footprint possible.
